Andy Murray is through to the second round of the US Open after a straight-sets win over India's Somdev Devvarman.
The number four seed endured a nervous start after he lost his opening service game, and needed to win a tie-break 7-5 to claim the first set against the world number 64.
The Brit hit back in the second, using an improved forehand to win the set 6-2.
Murray stormed ahead 4-0 in the third, but allowed his opponent back into the contest before sealing the set 6-3.
The Scot will face the Netherlands' Robin Haase in round two.
