Andy Murray has been seeded eighth for this year's US Open at Flushing Meadows.
The British number one has struggled at Grand Slams so far this season, with a semi-final defeat at the French Open his best showing so far.
The Scot only managed to reach the quarter-finals in both the Australian Open and Wimbledon, and is currently ninth in the world rankings.
Meanwhile, world number one Novak Djokovic will be the tournament's top seed after defending champion Rafael Nadal pulled out with a wrist injury, while Swiss duo Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka are second and third respectively.
Spaniard David Ferrer and Milos Raonic of Canada make up the top five, while Tomas Berdych and Grigor Dimitrov are also above Murray.
The draw for the US Open will be announced on Thursday ahead of the tournament getting underway on Monday.
