Laura Robson said that she made "too many mistakes" during her US Open second-round exit to Anabel Medina Garrigues.
The Brit lost 2-6 3-6 on Wednesday in what was her debut year at Flushing Meadows.
"I just made too many mistakes," the 17-year-old said. "I think I could have played better and I think I tried to go for too much.
"[Garrigues] always tried to go for the spin and then wait for the shot, so I thought I had to get in there straight away. I just went for too much sometimes."
Robson's defeat leaves Elena Baltacha as the only British female left in the tournament.
