Stanislas Wawrinka has admitted that he is delighted with his current form after booking a place in the semi-finals of the US Open.
A dominant display earned the two-time Grand Slam winner a 6-4 6-4 6-0 victory over Kevin Anderson on Wednesday night, but Wawrinka insists that he is happy to reflect on another impressive performance, rather than immediately turn his focus to the semi-final meeting with Roger Federer.
"I know I can finish by winning the tournament, but I'm really far from that yet," he told reporters. "So far, I'm going to enjoy tonight and the quarter-final, because [it] was a great performance for me.
"I'm really happy [with] the way I was playing, the way I dealt with the way I improve and [how I started] to perform tonight."
Wawrinka lost to Novak Djokovic in his only previous US Open semi-final two years ago.
