The US Open is to go ahead as scheduled after "minimal damage" to the Flushing Meadows site.
There had been concerns as to whether the tournament would get underway after Hurricane Irene was expected to hit New York City, but the extent of the storm was not as bad as first feared when it arrived on Sunday.
"We are preparing for the gates to open at 10am [1500 BST] as scheduled," said the US Tennis Association.
"Play around the grounds will commence as close to 11am [1600 BST] as possible."
