British junior Emily Arbuthnott has missed out in the last 32 of a Grand Slam for the second time this year after losing to Dalma Galfi at the US Open.
On Monday, the 17-year-old equalled her second-round appearance at Roland Garros by beating Ingrid Neel, but she failed to replicate that performance against Galfi, the second seed in the girls' singles.
Galfi broke twice during a closely-fought first set but the Hungarian, who is ranked at 465 on the WTA Tour, eased through the second to record a 6-4 6-1 win.
Arbuthnott follows Maia Lumsden in losing on Tuesday, with the Scot bowing out in three sets to Anastasia Detiuc.
