World number 10 Sara Errani dropped just two games on her way to advancing past Olga Puchkova at the US Open this evening.
The Italian gained control of the match during the opening exchanges with a string of forehand winners.
She eventually claimed the first set 6-1 from her Russian opponent.
The second set was similar to the first, with Errani claiming two breaks of Puchkova's serve to run out a 6-1 victor.
She will now face Angelique Kerber in the last 16 after the German defeated Olga Govortsova earlier today.
