Sara Errani has dispatched Olivia Rogowska with ease to set up an all-Italian second-round match with Flavia Pennetta at the US Open.
The world number five took just over an hour in completing a 6-0 6-0 rout.
Rogowska hit 13 winners during the match - six more than Errani - but 38 unforced errors from the Australian all but gifted her opponent a free pass.
Errani took six of the eight break points she created to advance without dropping a game.
