Samantha Stosur has eased her way into the third round of the US Open with a brisk 6-1 6-1 victory over Evgeniya Rodina.
The Australian blistered through the opening set by snatching an early double break, but Rodina was able to get one game on the board with a break of her own.
Despite losing serve, Stosur was not affected as she broke once again to wrap up the first set in the Louis Armstrong Stadium.
It was much of the same in the second set as Stosur broke serve instantly, leaving Rodina with a mountain to climb as she stormed 3-0 up with seven aces and zero double faults.
Rodina struggled to create a break-point opportunity and was forced to relinquish the match.
