Tomas Berdych was looking to start his tenth Wimbledon campaign on the right note this afternoon as he faced world number 36 Martin Klizan.
The seventh seed crashed out at this stage last year but started today's match in fine form, taking the first set inside 30 minutes.
Klizan contributed to an entertaining match but could not live with the former runner-up at SW19, eventually falling to a straight-sets defeat.
