Andy Murray has quelled fears over his fitness after needing treatment on his shoulder during a third-round Wimbledon win over Andreas Seppi tonight.

The Scot was cruising on Centre Court after winning the first two sets by a 6-2 scoreline as a place in the last 16 beckoned.

However, his route to victory was obscured when his Italian counterpart responded with a 6-1 win in a set that saw the third seed appear to struggle with his shoulder.

After losing the first game of the fourth set, Murray called for his trainer, before receiving treatment and going on to win 6-1 and book his place in the second week.

"The shoulder is fine now," he told BBC Sport. "Towards the end of the second set it started to tighten up. When he took a medical time-out, it cooled down a little bit."

He will face Ivo Karlovic in the next round on Monday, having never lost to the Croat in five previous meetings.
