Roger Federer has set his sights on a record-breaking eighth Wimbledon title ahead of his first round match with Victor Hanescu on Monday.
The Swiss beat Andy Murray inside four sets in last year's final to earn his seventh title in 10 years, having picked up his first crown at SW19 in 2003.
The 31-year-old is currently level on English Grand Slam titles with William Renshaw and Pete Sampras, but Federer is now targeting becoming the outright record holder.
"Every year that has gone by, every year that I do well here, my nerves calm down," Federer told The Telegraph.
"The more you play on grass, the more you learn about it. Today I know what it takes, even though the excitement is the same. I'm still hungry, still wanting to win, still wanting to prove how well I can play.
"I can talk about [an eighth Wimbledon title] if I have won the tournament, I know the road is hard. But it is possible."
Federer could meet Rafael Nadal in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
