Seven-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer is pleased to see the 'big four' of himself, Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal all reach the second week at SW19.

Roger Federer has said that he is pleased to see all of the 'big four' reach the second week of Wimbledon for the first time since 2014.

Federer's straight-sets victory over Mischa Zverev this evening saw him join Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal in the fourth round at SW19 - something which has not happened for three years.

However, the seven-time Wimbledon champion is not surprised by the success the quartet have enjoyed, despite each of them experiencing their own struggles in recent times.

"I think it's great. I'm not that surprised because I thought that everybody this week was going to find their form, especially speaking about Andy and Novak. So I thought they did it very well," he told reporters.

"With me, I hoped I was going to be there. Whereas with Rafa's confidence, I thought he was also going to be there."

Federer, who is bidding to lift the Wimbledon trophy for the first time since 2012, will face Grigor Dimitrov in the fourth round.
