Roger Federer has declared that he is full of confidence ahead of his Wimbledon semi-final against Milos Raonic.
The Swiss defeated Stanislas Wawrinka 3-6 7-6 6-4 6-4 to reach the last four of the tournament, banishing memories of last year's surprise loss to Sergiy Stakhovsky.
"I'm just really pleased I am back strongly. Last year I didn't even come close. It was a major disappointment because I always see Wimbledon as one of my main goals of the season, side by side with the rankings," The Mirror quotes him as saying.
"Last year was rough, I was very disappointed. But I went back to the practice courts. It is good to be back in the semis with a chance to go further, the prospect is very exciting.
"I know there is pressure but the confidence is there. I trust my game and am really excited about the next couple of days."
Raonic saw off Nick Kyrgios in the quarter-finals to set up the encounter with Federer.
