James Ward declares that he will take real confidence away from his 2015 Wimbledon campaign, having done enough to break into the world's top 100.

James Ward has revealed that he is determined to push on from his positive showing at Wimbledon.

The British hopeful is set to enter the world's top 100 players following victories over Luca Vanni and Jiri Vesely en route to the third round.

Wildcard Ward saw his SW19 campaign come to a crushing end on Saturday night following defeat to Vasek Pospisil, but he believes that there are plenty of positives to take away for the remainder of the year.

"I learned a lot because I know I can mix it with the top players and that gives me confidence," he told BBC Sport. "Now I just have to build on it. Making the top 100 is a big milestone and I have a few more years left.

"It has been a great week but it was a tough one to lose. I have had my fair share of five-set wins and losses and obviously it hurts."

Ward, currently ranked at 111 in the world, had never previously reached the last 32 of a Grand Slam.
