Jerzy Janowicz has admitted that he doesn't know what to expect ahead of his debut semi-final against Andy Murray on Friday.
Janowicz reached the last four of a Grand Slam for the first time in his career courtesy of a straight-sets victory over fellow Pole Lukasz Kubot this afternoon, greeting the win with disbelief and tears of joy.
That was a fairly straightforward match for the 22-year-old, who stands at 6'8" tall, but he is expecting Murray to provide a much sterner test.
"It will be a really cool match, a really nice atmosphere there. For sure the crowd will not really help me, but we'll see how it's going to be. This is my first semi-final ever, so I don't know what to expect," said Janowicz.
"He's a great player. He's been a top player for many, many years. He won the US Open last year, so it's not an easy match. Definitely not an easy match.
"I was able to win one match against him last year, so I hope I'm going to be able to do it one more time."
The winner of Janowicz's semi-final match will face either Novak Djokovic or Juan Martin del Potro in Sunday's final.
