Andy Murray has revealed that he is hopeful the crowd on Centre Court will rally behind him in his semi-final match against Roger Federer at Wimbledon.

The Scot has enjoyed the backing of his home crowd on his way to the last four of the competition, but he is aware that the popularity of Federer may diminish his support in their clash later today.

"I hope I get good support," Murray told reporters. "It's been the case throughout the whole event and every year that I played here.

"Roger's obviously extremely popular everywhere he goes, so it might not be as partisan a crowd or atmosphere as some matches that I play here. But it will still be an excellent atmosphere, so I'm sure I'll still get a boost from the crowd."

Federer holds a 4-1 advantage over Murray in their meetings in Grand Slams.
