Andy Murray says that he would rather win another Grand Slam than move to the top of the world rankings.

World number two Andy Murray has insisted that he is not worried about becoming the best player in tennis after winning Wimbledon on Sunday.

The Scot remains some way off world number one Novak Djokovic in the latest ATP ranking list, despite beating the Serb to claim his first-ever title at SW19 at the weekend.

Murray admits that he is focused on adding to his US Open and Wimbledon Grand Slam titles rather than think about moving to the top of the rankings.

"It's tough - you have to be consistent throughout all year," Murray told BBC Sport.

"I've won the Olympics, the US Open, finished runner-up in the Australian Open and now won Wimbledon in the last year - and I'm still nowhere near.

"The goal for me is to win another Grand Slam and not worry to much about rankings."

Murray became the first British man to win Wimbledon on Sunday since Fred Perry 77 years ago.
