Nick Kyrgios has admitted that he failed to give his all during his 7-5 6-1 6-4 defeat to Andy Murray at Wimbledon.
The Australian told reporters that he played with no "heart and gut" during the straight-sets loss and dubbed his performance in set two onward as "pathetic".
"It was a good first set. The rest of the match was pretty pathetic," he said.
"As soon as I lost the first set, I just lost belief. I think when things get tough, I'm just a little bit soft. Was it like a switch-flicking? Kind of, I guess, yeah."
He added: "I don't love the sport. But I don't really know what else to do without it. One week I'm pretty motivated to train and play. I'm really looking forward to getting out there. One week I'll just not do anything."
Murray will take on Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
