British number one Laura Robson has no doubts that she needs more time in order to improve under new coach Miles Maclagan if she is to make an impact at Wimbledon.

The 19-year-old endured a poor second-round defeat in the Aegon Classic on Wednesday after suffering a 6-3 6-4 loss to Russian world number 60 Daniela Hantuchova.

Robson, who was playing her first match under the new tutelage, is confident that she can grow stronger under Maclagan but not to a degree where she is instantly challenging for honours.

"It's good so far and we've only had less than a week together so there's no miracles yet, but in general my serve is looking a bit better than it was and I'm feeling pretty good on court," Robson told Sky Sports News.

"There's no magic solution, it takes time and a lot of hard work on the practice court to fix anything and over the last couple of days we've done a lot [of work] on my serve which I think looks a bit better, so I think we have a lot to work on."

Robson is ranked 37th in the world.
