Greg Rusedski has backed Andy Murray to win Wimbledon this year.
The Scot is through to the second week of the tournament after overcoming Tommy Robredo in straight sets on Friday.
The former British number two, who tipped Murray to be victorious ahead of the competition, says that Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer's exits have only strengthened his opinion.
"There is a long way to go, but the way Murray is hitting that backhand, I am sticking by my pre-tournament prediction that he will win the event," Rusedski wrote in his column in The Telegraph.
"Novak Djokovic started the week with the easier draw but things have changed dramatically. He looks likely to face a fourth-round match against Tommy Haas (who beat him in Miami in March) probably followed by Tomas Berdych (who beat him here at Wimbledon in the 2010 semi-final).
"Juan Martin del Potro (who beat him in the Olympic semi final last year) [is] still lurking behind them."
Meanwhile, former British number one Tim Henman feels that it has been an "ideal week" for Murray at SW19.
