Greg Rusedski has claimed that support from the crowd will give Andy Murray the edge over Novak Djokovic in today's Wimbledon final.
Murray will meet Djokovic on Centre Court this afternoon as he aims to become the first British man since Fred Perry in 1936 to win the title on home soil.
"Andy will be the clear crowd favourite. And that definitely affects you as a player: you feel you are surfing on a wave of support," former British number two Rusedski wrote in his column in The Telegraph.
"I have said all along that this will be Andy's year, and I am sticking to that. We all know how closely matched these two players are, but in the Wimbledon final on Sunday there are two factors that could make the difference: the crowd and the conditions.
"With any luck, there will be one more similarity by Sunday evening. Andy will have joined Novak, who won this tournament in 2011, on the honours board at Wimbledon."
Meanwhile, a report has claimed that Murray will earn over £100m in sponsorship money if he wins today's final.
