Former Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova has admitted that she has a tough task ahead of her when she takes on Serena Williams in the semi-finals later today.

The Russian beat Williams to win the title back in 2004, but the American has since gone on to dominate their head-to-head record and has not lost to Sharapova in 10 years.

"I think it's always a new match. I haven't had great success against her. I would love to change that around. That's how I look at it," Sharapova told BBC Sport.

"There are definitely no secrets between each other's games, but it will be an incredible moment for me to step out on Centre Court against her again. There's no easy road to victory. You're going to have your bumps. That's the way I see it."
