Wimbledon's all-time temperature record of 34.6 degrees celsius could be broken today as the All England Club is expected to be hit with soaring heat.
On Tuesday, Andy Murray got his campaign off to a winning start, but only 38,000 were granted entry to the courts due to the hot weather.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman told The Guardian that 123 Wimbledon spectators have been treated for heat-related conditions just two days into the tournament.
Today's play, which will include matches involving reigning champion Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams and Stanislas Wawrinka, is expected to go ahead in temperatures of around 35C, which will break Wimbledon's 1976 record.
