Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has said that he was able to relax and save energy during his first-round match at Wimbledon today.
The sixth seed beat 22-year-old Belgian David Goffin 7-6 6-4 6-3 this afternoon.
After the match, Tsonga told reporters: "I'm feeling good. I played well today. I was really relaxed on the court, and it make me save energy and play good tennis.
Yeah, I mean, [the draw is] tough. It's maybe a bit tougher for [Rafael Nadal] or for Roger [Federer] or maybe for Andy [Murray], but for me it's always the same.
"Anyway, I have to play one of the best player in quarter-final anyway, so one of the top four. For me, it's like usual."
The Frenchman faces Latvia's Ernests Gulbis in the next round.
