Juan Martin del Potro has advanced into the quarter-finals of Wimbledon with a 6-4 7-6 6-3 victory over Andrea Seppi.
Neither player could be separated in the opening six games of the first set, but a break in the seventh allowed Del Potro to take control.
Del Potro continued to serve well in the latter stages of the opener, eventually moving one set ahead at the second time of asking.
Neither player could be separated in the second with the set entering a tie-break. However, it was Del Potro who came out on top courtesy of a 7-2 score.
It proved to be more straightforward in the third and what proved to be final set, however, with the Argentine breaking at 0-1 before eventually taking it 6-3 with a powerful forehand.
