Roger Federer has booked his place in the round of 16 at Wimbledon courtesy of a straight-sets victory over Santiago Giraldo.
The 32-year-old, who has won this event on seven separate occasions, needed just one hour and 22 minutes to see off his Colombian opponent with a 6-3 6-1 6-3 triumph.
Giraldo lost serve in the second game of the opening set, allowing Federer to immediately take control of the contest where he held serve to eventually take the set 6-3.
Federer earned three breaks of serve in the second to cruise into a two-set lead, before holding serve once more in the final set to comfortably see out the game.
The Swiss pro will now face either Jerzy Janowicz or Tommy Robredo in the next round.
