Wimbledon third seed Simona Halep has edged her way into round three of this year's tournament with a hard-fought win over Lesia Tsurenko of the Ukraine.
The games were long to begin with and, at 3-3, it was Tsurenko's serve that was the first to give as she was broken, and then again as Halep turned up the pressure to take the first 6-3.
Tsurenko was then broken at the start of the second set, with Halep cruising, but two quick breaks back midway through the set saw the Ukrainian level things and take the match into a decider.
After being broken early on again, she saved two match points to claim from Halep's serve, but then lost with the balls once more with the Romanian taking the match at the fourth time of asking.
