British number one Johanna Konta has made it through to the second round of Wimbledon by overcoming Natalia Vikhlyantseva in straight sets.
The 2017 semi-finalist was made to work hard by her Russian opponent, requiring six match points to get over the line with a 7-5 7-6(7) victory.
Konta earned the only break of the first set 11 games in, before racing a couple of games in front in the second set to find herself in control.
World number 103 Vikhlyantseva would not be shaken off, though, and she was soon level at 4-4 after breaking Konta in the eighth game.
Konta then had to save two set points on her serve to set up a tie-break, which she managed to take with her sixth match point.
