Milos Raonic has progressed into the last-16 stage of Wimbledon with a straight-sets victory over Jack Sock.
The sixth seed got the job done thanks to a 7-6(2) 6-4 7-6(1) triumph and will now face David Goffin, who earlier overcame his own test against Denis Istomin, for a place in the quarter-finals.
Both players successfully held their serve throughout a tight opening set, but it was Raonic who kept his nerve to take the tie-break 7-2.
A more straightforward second set followed for the 2014 semi-finalist, as he broke his opponent in the seventh game to create some breathing space.
Sock battled hard once more in the final set, however, again taking it all the way only for Raonic to battle through with a 7-1 win to keep his hopes alive and well on a day when tournament favourite Novak Djokovic was dumped out.
