Sabine Lisicki has advanced into the semi-finals of Wimbledon with a 6-3 6-3 victory over Kaia Kanepi on Tuesday.
The German player, who overcame world number one Serena Williams in the previous round, took control of the first set in the early stages, breaking Kanepi before holding to move 2-0 ahead.
The set remained on serve from that point until another break for Lisicki at 3-5 allowed her to claim the opener.
It was Kanepi who secured the first break of the second, but Lisicki broke straight back to leave the second level at 2-2 on serve.
Lisicki took control of the match from that point, however, breaking again at 2-3 before eventually holding serve to book her spot in the next round.
