Serena Williams has bounced back from recent disappointment by brushing aside Eugenie Bouchard in emphatic style at the WTA Finals.
The American saw her 16-match winning run at the season-ending event come to an end at the hands of Simona Halep yesterday, but there were no such problems this afternoon as Williams recorded a 6-1 6-1 victory to put herself back in contention for a spot in the final four.
Bouchard struggled to contain her opponent from the start in Singapore, losing serve on three occasions to give Williams a real foothold on the contest.
It was a similar story in the second set as Williams again held her serve to run away with the match, dropping just two games in the process.
The world number one is now in second place in the Red Group standings behind Halep.
