Rafael dos Anjos has been forced to pull out of the UFC lightweight title bout with Conor McGregor due to a broken foot.
The fight was scheduled to headline UFC 196 and was shaping up to be one of the most anticipated clashes in recent years, with McGregor bidding to become the first dual-weight champion in the company's history.
McGregor has fast established himself as one of the biggest names in the sport, enhancing his burgeoning reputation with a 14-second knockout of Jose Aldo to win the featherweight title last year.
The Irishman was to move up to lightweight to take on reigning champion Dos Anjos, but the fight has now been postponed due to the Brazilian's injury.
It is expected that McGregor will now fight a substitute in the March 5 event before facing Dos Anjos at a later date.
