Iran have claimed a gold medal in the men's -82.50kg powerlifting final through Majid Farzin.
Farzin saw off his competitors after lifting 237kg at the ExCel Arena, while Gu Xiao Fei of China secured his silver-medal podium spot by successfully lifting 228kg.
Egypt's Metwaly Mathana failed to lift more than 227kg but it was enough to pick up a bronze medal.
Opeyemi Jegede of Nigeria was unable to challenge for a place on the podium after lifting his maximum wait of 205kg.
