Austria skier Marcel Hirscher has admitted that he is disappointed to have finished fourth in the men's giant slalom.
The 24-year-old finished 0.94 seconds behind Ted Ligety of the United States, who won the gold medal.
Hirscher failed to finish on a giant slalom podium for just the second time in 21 races.
"Right now I'm really [ticked] off, for sure, because it was maybe my biggest chance for a medal in my whole career," Hirscher told the News Tribune.
"The best has won today. It is for sure disappointing (for me) and, on the other side, yeah, I'm not far away."
Hirscher finished fourth in the same discipline at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
