Norway skier Marit Bjoergen has praised her country's clean sweep in the women's cross country 30km mass start event.
The 33-year-old secured the competition's gold medal with a time of 1:11:05.2, while compatriots Therese Johaug and Kristin Stoermer Steira took silver and bronze respectively.
"It's incredible. We're all Norwegian and we're all on the podium," Bjoergen told reporters. "This has been a goal for me for a long time. I thought the 30K would be hard but I've felt very good in the last days.
"I knew that I am stronger than [Johaug and Steira] in the sprints, so I was waiting for them to attack on the last climb. Therese upped her speed and I just followed her, then I passed her."
The result makes Bjoergen one of the most decorated female Winter Olympians of all time, with a haul of 10 medals, six of them gold.
