Norway have become the first Olympic gold medallists in the mixed relay biathlon, which has been contested for the first time at the Sochi Games.
The result means that 40-year-old Norwegian skier Ole Einar Bjoerndalen has become the most decorated Winter Olympian in history, with 13 medals to his name.
The quartet of Bjoerndalen, Tora Berger, Tiril Eckhoff and Emil Hegle Svendsen finished 32.6 seconds ahead of the Czech Republic, who claimed the silver medal.
Italy, who finished 58.2 seconds behind Norway, took bronze.
