Great Britain freestyle skier James Machon has revealed that he can't wait to get his Olympic campaign underway when the half-pipe begins on Tuesday.
Machon sustained a torn ACL in the build-up to the Games and compete in just three qualifying events, and the 23-year-old has admitted that he is pleased just to be in Sochi.
He told the Edinburgh News: "I'm feeling good, I'm in really good physical shape at the moment. I've put in a lot of hard work to get to Russia and make the Olympics, so I'm really looking forward to it.
"I tore my ACL meniscus last season, so I was out for most of the qualifying event. It's great to be here and to get ready to compete."
Team GB have won two medals so far at the Games, including one gold.
