Great Britain's Lee Jackson has said that the men's biathlon 10km sprint was "tough".
The 33-year-old finished in 67th place with a time of 27:07.8 minutes and he missed one target in the standing shooting range.
"It is so fatiguing and there is no recovery," Jackson told reporters after the race.
"It is tough and I have got double to do in the individual, which will be fun.
"The hills are so steep. I have done some hard sessions on the course in the week leading up to racing, but racing on it is something different."
Jackson also said that waiting until 6.30pm local time to start the race was "hard".
"It is hard not racing until 6.30pm because you have got all day waiting and anticipating.
"It's trying to stay relaxed but not too relaxed, so it doesn't take you too long to get ready for the event.
"But it is also trying not to conserve energy and waste energy being nervous."
Norwegian veteran Ole Einar Bjoerndalen won his seventh Winter Olympics gold medal with victory in the event today.
