Great Britain's Shelley Rudman has stated that she is pleased with her improved performance during the second run of the women's skeleton heats.

Rudman completed a poor first heat in a time of 59.46s, but showed signs of learning the track on her second run and clocked 59.33s to end the day in 11th spot.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Rudman said: "It wasn't too bad. I was off my lines on the first run - maybe down to nerves, but on the second run I corrected things so I'm really happy.

"There's things to think about overnight, but I'm pleased that my start was so much better on my second run, so that's another positive. I really just want to flow and enjoy the second day.

"I'll be pleased if I can move up the board a little bit. I want a neat and tidy run and just be happy as I walk off the track."

Rudman's teammate Lizzy Yarnold leads the board, with the third and fourth heats due to take place tomorrow.
