Russian pop duo t.A.T.u kicked off the Winter Olympics opening ceremony by taking part in a pre-show performance in Sochi on Friday.
Lena Katina and Yulia Volkova held hands in the perfomance as they sang hits 'All The Things She Said' and 'Not Gonna Get Us'.
Russia has been criticised for its treatment of gay people, having created a law that forbids 'gay propaganda' from being spread among children.
t.A.T.u.'s backup dancers wore rainbow uniforms and the pair were accompanied by rainbow-coloured lights.
