WWE have announced that they have released former world champion Alberto Del Rio due to "unprofessional conduct".
The 37-year-old made his debut with the company in June 2010, but it was revealed on Thursday that his four-year spell had been brought to an abrupt end.
An official statement read: "WWE announce the release of Alberto Del Rio due to unprofessional conduct and an altercation with an employee."
The Mexican superstar won the world title a total of four times during his time with WWE, while he also emerged as the winner of the Royal Rumble in 2011.
