Saudi Pro League champions-elect Al-Hilal are reportedly considering making a move for Tottenham Hotspur attacker Richarlison in the upcoming transfer market.

Al-Hilal are on the verge of winning the Saudi Pro League title for the fourth time in the last five seasons and are believed to be keen to bolster their already star-studded squad in the summer.

The PIF-owned club made significant investments at the start of this campaign, bringing in the likes of Neymar, Malcom, Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Aleksandar Mitrovic.

According to the Daily Mail, Al-Hilal enquired about Richarlison's availability in January after his compatriot Neymar sustained a knee injury that ruled him out for the rest of the season.

The report adds that while the Blue Waves are yet to make a formal approach for the 27-year-old forward, they are confident they will secure his signature in the summer transfer market.

Despite Richarlison having another three years remaining on his current contract, Spurs are believed to be open to offers for him, with Ange Postecoglou understood to be planning a major overhaul of his squad this summer.

Richarlison has had a productive season with Spurs, registering 12 goals and four assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.

However, the Brazilian has now been flagged with a calf injury, which has resulted in him missing out on selection for Brazil's Copa America squad. He is also ruled out for the remainder of the current league season.

National team coach Dorival Junior disclosed to Brazilian media that while Spurs had not officially confirmed Richarlison's injury, it was significant enough to justify his omission from Brazil's 23-man squad.

Richarlison's latest injury adds to his recent fitness challenges, having only recently returned from a knee injury that kept him out for the majority of the last two months and followed a groin strain earlier in the campaign.

Spurs' three remaining fixtures this season include home games against Burnley and Manchester City before a trip to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United on the final day.

The Lilywhites are in fifth place in the Premier League standings, seven points behind Aston Villa, who currently hold the fourth and final automatic Champions League qualification spot. body check tags ::
