Scottie Scheffler has secured victory at the Hero World Challenge, prevailing by three shots at the 20-player tournament in the Bahamas.
The world number one has been the most consistent player throughout the week, his worst round being a 69, and a closing 68 was enough to close out the win.
Scheffler produced a disciplined round, recording just two birdies in his first 14 holes, but he decisively made no mistakes and birdied 15 and 16 to put breathing space between himself and the rest of the field.
Sepp Straka proved to be his nearest challenger after producing the round of the day, hitting eight birdies on his way to a 64.
A 67 was enough for Justin Thomas to earn third position, while Tony Finau and Matt Fitzpatrick shared fourth, the latter having only produced a 70 when in contention at the start of the day.
Meanwhile, Tiger Woods had to make do with a final-round 72, complementing five birdies with three bogeys and a double-bogey.
Three of the birdies in question came in quick succession after the double, highlighting the 47-year-old's desire to make an impact on his first appearance since having his surgically-repaired ankle fused earlier this year.
Wood would eventually finish in 18th position ahead of Wyndham Clark and Will Zalatoris, but as many as 20 shots adrift of winner Scheffler. body check tags ::
