Klay Thompson: 'Golden State Warriors were not complacent'

Golden State Warriors forward Klay Thompson is adamant that his side were not complacent in their defeat to the Golden State Warriors in game two of the NBA Finals.

Golden State Warriors forward Klay Thompson has insisted that his side's defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers in game two of the NBA Finals was not down to complacency.

The Cavaliers tied the series at 1-1 as they recorded a 95-93 win at Oracle Arena, despite being without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, who have both been ruled out for the season.

Thompson is adamant that his side were focused on the victory, and is confident that they can bounce back to regain the initiative in the series.

When asked if they were complacent, he told reporters: "No, I don't think so. We got off to a great start. Kyrie being out, it didn't affect us because we know they're still a really good team.

"They've won a lot of postseason games without him. We played great defense, man. It's just we've got to play better on the offensive end and trust each other.

"It's nobody's fault. It's a team effort, and we'll bounce back. We've been in this position before."

Game three of the Finals takes place in Cleveland on Tuesday.
