Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has predicted that the transfer bans issued to Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will eventually be scrapped.
The Spanish outfits were issued with the sanctions after both breached rules in relation to signing foreign players under the age of 18.
Both clubs have announced their intentions to appeal the bans, which will prevent them from registering new players in the summer and January 2017 transfer windows.
When asked about the punishment, Wenger told reporters: "They will appeal, they will cancel the ban and they will be allowed to buy in the next two transfer windows. That's what will happen."
Reports have claimed that Real are planning to swoop for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea and Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard this summer should the ban be delayed because of the appeal.
