Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert blanks questions from Birmingham Mail journalist MAt KEndrick in the aftermath of his team's 2-1 defeat to Millwall in the FA Cup.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert reportedly ignored questions put to him by a local journalist following his team's exit from the FA Cup.

The Midlands outfit lost 2-1 at Championship side Millwall, completing a miserable week in which they also lost to Bradford City in the semi-final of the Capital One Cup.

According to a number of journalists on Twitter, Lambert completely blanked Birmingham Mail journalist Mat Kendrick during his post-match press conference at the New Den, prompting widespread criticism from within the media.

It is believed that the Scot is unhappy with a piece that appeared in the newspaper which called for chairman Randy Lerner to "break his silence" and address the growing unease among the Villa fans or sack him as manager.

Villa currently lie 17th in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone.
