Barcelona will be bidding to return to winning ways in Spain's top flight when they head to Celta Vigo on Saturday evening.

The reigning La Liga champions were held to a 3-3 draw by struggling Granada last weekend, with the result leaving them third in the table, 10 points behind the leaders Real Madrid.

Xavi's side will head to Celta before travelling to Napoli early next week for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash with the Italian champions.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Celta, who are currently 17th in Spain's top flight.


Alejandro Balde

Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Balde is set for a lengthy period on the sidelines, having had an operation on the hamstring injury that he picked up against Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey.


Sergi Roberto

Status: Out
Type of injury: Achilles
Possible return date: Unknown

Roberto recently joined the injury list at Barcelona, with the midfielder expected to be unavailable for another few weeks due to an Achilles problem.


Gavi

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Gavi suffered an ACL injury while representing Spain over the November international break, and the midfielder is now set to be missing for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.


Marcos Alonso
