Sports Mole looks ahead to Huddersfield Town's match against in-form Bolton Wanderers in the Championship.

Huddersfield Town will be hoping to increase the distance between themselves and the relegation zone when they host Bolton Wanderers in the Championship on Sunday.

Chris Powell's side threw away a two-goal lead against Rotherham United on Boxing Day to draw 2-2, leaving them just five points clear of the bottom three.

The Terriers were boosted by the return of James Vaughan on Friday, and the striker marked his first start in three months with a goal in the draw.

While Powell will be wary of overworking Vaughan after a lengthy absence, the forward came through 78 minutes unscathed, so could retain his place in the starting lineup, particularly as Grant Holt is a doubt for the match after limping off after less than an hour on Friday.

Huddersfield have been struggling for form in recent weeks, winning just once in their last eight outings in the league.

Meanwhile, Bolton come into the match on a run of eight matches without a loss, a streak which has seen them climb up to 14th in the table.

Neil Lennon has bolstered the club's strike force with veterans Eidur Gudjohnsen and Emile Heskey since arriving at the Macron, with the latter scoring on his debut in the 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on Boxing Day.

The manager has confirmed that Craig Davies will be back in the squad after a three-game absence with a hamstring injury, which could see one of the 36-year-old forwards rested.

Kevin McNaughton is also due to return from a hamstring problem, while Lee Chung-yong is available for the final time before he links up with the South Korea national side for the Asia Cup.

Mark Davies, Marc Tierney, Joe Mason and Max Clayton all remain long-term absentees for the Trotters.

The last four matches between these two sides have all finished with a 1-0 scoreline, with Bolton coming away with the win on three occasions.
