Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's injury and suspension news ahead of their Champions League clash with Dinamo Zagreb.
Sports Mole

Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from their humiliating weekend result when they welcome Dinamo Zagreb to Stamford Bridge in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Just seven weeks after taking up the Blues' managerial hot seat, Graham Potter suffered a bitter return to the Amex Stadium as his side were beaten 4-1 by a rampant Brighton and Hove Albion side on Saturday.

The West London outfit, who have consequently dropped to sixth place in the Premier League table, head to the Champions League, where they have remarkably turned their fortunes around, winning their last three games in Group E to confirm their spot in the knockout stages.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Dinamo Zagreb, who will be looking to complete an impressive group double over Potter's men after claiming a 1-0 victory in September's reverse fixture.

N'Golo Kante

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 2 (vs. Southampton)

N'Golo Kante is out of contention for Chelsea as the France international will spend the next four months on the club's injury table after recently undergoing surgery on a hamstring injury.

Kalidou Koulibaly

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: November 2 (vs. Dinamo Zagreb)

Kalidou Koulibaly has missed Chelsea's last three games after picking up a knee problem against Brentford two weeks ago but the experienced defender could return to action on Wednesday.

Wesley Fofana

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Wesley Fofana remains out of contention for the Blues as he continues his journey to full fitness after sustaining a knee injury earlier this month. The 21-year-old defender is not expected to feature for Chelsea until after the World Cup.

Kepa Arrizabalaga

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Kepa Arrizabalaga was forced off at half time against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, and while the severity of his injury is currently being assessed, he is likely out of contention for Wednesday's matchup.

Reece James

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Reece James came off with a knee injury in the Champions League victory over AC Milan on October 11 and the English full-back will also be sidelined until after the World Cup.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no players suspended for this match.
